Dr. Meredith's journey began at Clemson University, where she cultivated her intellectual roots, ultimately graduating with a strong foundation in Animal Sciences. She then attended Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, where her commitment to the well-being of animals flourished.
Professionally, Dr. Meredith's interests encompass integrative veterinary medicine, soft tissue surgery, dermatology, animal rehabilitation and internal medicine. Her holistic approach to animal care, alongside her expertise in various specialties, makes her a well-rounded veterinarian dedicated to the well-being of her furry patients.
Her family life is as vibrant as her professional journey. She is a loving mother to two wonderful daughters, fostering their curiosity and nurturing their love for the world's creatures. Their household is further enriched by two remarkable three-legged feline friends, Noodles and Sharona, two playful canine companions, Eleanor and Cholula.
In her precious moments of free time, she revels in outdoor adventures, from the tranquility of paddleboarding to the exhilaration of backpacking. The natural world is her sanctuary, and she finds solace in every step she takes.
Dr. Meredith is so excited to welcome you to the Sunstone Animal Hospital family.

Dr. Coughlin joins the Sunstone team from her hometown of New Orleans, LA where she earned her undergraduate degree at Tulane University. She completed post graduate study in animal conservation and worked in wildlife rehabilitation in the US and abroad before attending veterinary school at St. George’s University in the Caribbean islands. During her final year of clinical training she pursued special interests in wildlife medicine, high quality-high volume surgery, and equitable access to care. She is equally comfortable spaying your new puppy, designing a pain management plan for your aging furry friend, or wrangling a mangy fox for treatment.
Dr. Coughlin strives to foster a welcoming, comfortable clinic environment where she can work collaboratively with clients and involve them in the decision making process to best fit their pets’ and their own needs. She values the opportunity for long-term relationship building with pets and their humans in small animal practice, and is looking forward to making you feel heard and valued at Sunstone while keeping your pets’ well-being as top priority.
Dr. Coughlin has one four-legged family member of her own, an Australian shepherd mix named Ash, who has been with her through numerous interstate and international moves. In her free time she enjoys making pottery, listening to live music, and DIY costuming for events (true to her vibrant New Orleanian roots).

Dr. David Higginbotham earned his degree in Biology from Long Beach State and went on to receive his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in 2007. Dr. David brings a calm, practical, and a caring approach to every patient he meets - and we cannot wait to have his steady energy around the clinic.
When he's not caring for your pets, you'll probably find him hiking, fishing, gardening, or getting lost (in the best way) in the beautiful Eastern Sierra mountain range.

"Hi, I am Kaylee! I started my career in caring for your little ones in 2019. I have always had a love for all animals and knew I was in the right place working here.
I have a 6 year old English Bulldog of my own, named Rome and we recently moved to Florida with my boyfriend in 2023 and added to our family with our first baby girl back in October of 2023.
One of our new favorite things to do here is go swimming with our daughter and bulldog!
My plan here at Sunstone is to continue to care for you and your fur babies in whatever you need!"
Lili started her veterinary journey back in 2018–2019 at her first animal hospital in Laguna Beach, where she quickly discovered she had a talent for juggling phone calls, calming nervous pets, and keeping the team laughing. She later explored emergency medicine, but eventually realized she missed the close-knit, family feel of general practice which is exactly what brought her to Sunstone Animal Hospital. The moment she walked in, she knew she had found her people.
As a receptionist, Lili loves building genuine relationships with clients and making them feel like part of the Sunstone family. Whether she’s reassuring a worried pet parent or greeting a wiggly puppy, she brings warmth, humor, and a big smile to the front desk.
Outside of work, Lili is a proud dog mom to three pups of all shapes and sizes, Macho Man, Marilyn, and Sadie who fully believe they run her household (and honestly, they do). When she’s not working, you can find her hanging out with friends, going to the river, attending concerts, camping, or taking her dogs on any adventure that allows dogs… which is basically all of them.

This is Soriya. She has been in the veterinary field since 2022 and is a veterinary assistant here at Sunstone. She is currently earning her undergrad in Biology and wants to eventually become a veterinary ultrasound technician.
Growing up, she never had pets of her own but had always loved and wanted to help animals. She was then finally able to adopt her dog, but due to his rough conditions, she had to nurse him back to health. While doing so, she found her passion in veterinary medicine, and she loves what she does because she loves helping lives that don’t have a voice to help themselves.
Soriya has a white miniature poodle mix named Alfie. Alfie is loving, stubborn, cheerful, and Soriya’s best friend. She and Alfie like to go out on adventures like paddle boarding, hiking, and long car rides together, but they also like to stay home and cuddle while watching a movie.
In Soriya’s free time, she likes to hang out with her friends, try new foods/drinks, go to music festivals, Disneyland, and travel whenever she can. She is willing to go on any adventure that presents itself to her and will have fun while doing so.
Soriya can’t wait to see you guys at Sunstone Animal Hospital!
